4. February 2024And so it began...
I wasn't excited at all. I was about to embark on a long-haul flight in a Boeing 747, albeit in Ecomomy - I was a beginner.
From Frankfurt via Toronto to Ottawa with Air Canada. And 5 weeks later I was on my way back.
It was my very first vacation outside Europe.
On the Flight Deck
Back then, it was no problem to ask the crew if you could have a look inside the cockpit.
After the captain's OK, you were then taken to the flight deck by a flight attendant. I was able to speak briefly with the pilots and a "proof photo" was also taken.
Arriving in Canada...
"Ontario - Yours to Discover" ... was written under their license plates.
And that's what I did!
