How we became Flying Krebbs Airways

In the beginning there was our "problem" to find a great birthday present for our father. And it should not be just a nice bottle of wine or whisky. Because at a certain age it is nicer, better and more important to spend time together and have great experiences. Because then, the presentee (and all involved) has then much more of it.

So - what could we do? There were only 4 weeks left until the birthday and we had no idea at all. And somehow we wanted and had to top the 80s jukebox - the present of the previous year.

In spring 2022...

when the entire Krebbs family flew with these airlines from FRA via ZRH to LPA (Gran Canaria and back) in Business Class, finally each family member was spoilt (rotten) regarding Business Class comfort for future flight activities. The mother got so pampered by the cabin crew that she said that she felt like "Queen Mum" and really loved flying in business class for the first time at the age of 77 and enjoyed the benefits of an airport lounge.

In addition...

shortly before the father‘s birthday, son Rolf was able to book a very "inexpensive" round trip from FRA - (LH454) - SFO - (LH455) - FRA in LH First Class, where he was able to make a very unique experience and gather the additional impressions, which were then included in the gift planning.

And so the idea of giving a "1st Class flight experience" as a birthday present was born.

Cabin trolleys

and champagne coolers were available anyway. A logo was developed that reflected the family name and the appropriate airline name was invented. At the 5th glass of champagne the planning was done:

Flying Krebbs Airways:  Fly with us anywhere, sideways (like the Krebbs/Crabes move) with a twist!
Our Service standard of the house: always something special if possible and when it makes sense!

The birthday flight was then conducted in the living room at the parent’s place.

For this experience, corresponding boarding passes for the "K"-Class (Krebbs-Class or King-Class) were created and provided.

The comfortable TV armchairs were converted into K-Class seats and a flight from Bonaire to Aruba was shown on TV from the pilot's cockpit view – thanks to Youtube for such great material

In addition, champagne, hors d'euvres, and a delicious breakfast was served on Swiss Airline china.

Surprise achieved! And now we have our own airline - if only virtually.
