In 2017, I bought two Samsonite "Suitcase Termo Young Upright, 82 cm, 120 L, (Red)" for my travels. These water-repellent hard-shell suitcases are ideal for my shooting accessories, flashes and tripods, as well as for "transporting goods" between Gran Canaria and Trier for my friends, as they can comfortably carry up to 32 kg. I also like these suitcases because they only have 2 wheels, which are almost not exposed - compared to the suitcases and trolleys of today with their 4 exposed wheels. And I have optimized my luggage with them, my photo backpack and laptop bag so that I can carry everything myself.
They have also travelled the world already: San Francisco, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Canary Islands, Capo Verde and of course within Europe.
On my last Gran Canaria tour, one of the wheels was damaged during the handling, so I contacted the Samsonite outlet in Metzingen (near Stuttgart) for spare parts. Because with this model you can replace all the parts yourself easily as everything is screwed on.
I couldn't make an inquiry via the Samsonite website as I didn't have the product codes for my model. But the manager of the outlet was very kind and I had great customer service, which I didn't think that still existed.
I sent photos of my suitcase to the outlet by email, they ordered spare parts and sent to me, as I live 400 km away and could not pick them up. I was also kept up to date on the status of the order by telephone.
